To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment he has made of the participation of private providers in the delivery of the NHS Healthchecks programme.
Primary care trusts are responsible for commissioning the services necessary to deliver the NHS Health Check programme in a way that meets the needs of their local population. They will choose different providers to deliver the checks depending on the characteristics of their local population. No assessment has been made of the participation of private providers in the delivery of the NHS Health Check programme.
