To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills how many officials in (a) his Department and (b) the non-departmental public bodies for which his Department is responsible are paid (i) £100,000 and (ii) £142,500 or more per annum.

There are 24 individuals in core BIS who earn between £100,000 and £142,499. In addition there are nine individuals in BIS who earn over £142,500.

Similar information from BIS public bodies is not held centrally and to collect it would incur disproportionate costs.
