The UK maintains close daily liaison with the US and is aware of the current status of the joint strike fighter (JSF) programme. Additionally, the UK has civilian and military personnel embedded within the JSF project office. The Secretary of State for Defence, my right hon. Friend Mr Hammond, discussed JSF during his visit to the US on 5 January.
