To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what support the Government is giving to the development of democracy in Tunisia.

Through the Arab Partnership Initiative, the UK is providing British technical expertise on democratic institutions, helping to strengthen freedom of expression and supporting economic development. We are also supporting Tunisia's reform efforts through the EU Neighbourhood programme, the Deauville Partnership and through our contributions to the international financial institutions.
