To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what steps his Department is taking to prepare for the possibility of independence for Scotland; and if he will make a statement.
The Government are committed to keeping the United Kingdom together. Responsibility for constitutional issues relating to Scotland rests with the Secretary of State for Scotland.
