Transport written question – answered at on 16 January 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what steps she plans to take to ensure that the effectiveness of the enforcement activities of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) will not be reduced as a result of her Department's proposals for the centralisation of DVLA services.
DVLA has a clear commitment to ensure that enforcement activities remain at their present level of effectiveness. DVLA will work with stakeholders to fully understand potential impacts and how these can be effectively managed if the proposals are taken forward.
