To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what discussions she has had with Ministers in the Welsh Government on the formation of Policing and Crime Panels in Wales to scrutinise the work of elected Police and Crime Commissioners.
Home Office and Welsh Government Ministers and senior officials have discussed police reform as a whole and will continue to do so where necessary. The Home Office's Police and Crime Commissioner Transition Programme includes a specific project tasked with maintaining a strategic overview of the implementation of the police reform agenda in Wales including the establishment of police and crime panels. Membership of this board includes both Home Office and Welsh Government officials as well as a range of other key Welsh partners.
