To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government if he will place in the Library a copy of each representation he has received from local authorities on the need for changes to single person's council tax discount.

All responses to the Government's consultation on Localising Council Tax Support will be considered and a summary of responses will be published shortly. However, as indicated by my noble Friend, Baroness Hanham, on 3 November 2011, Hansard, House of Lords, column WA292, the Government have already made it clear that they do not intend to make changes to the council tax single person discount scheme.
