To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what estimate he has made of the amount of business rates revenue which will be lost to each local authority as a result of schools becoming academies in the next five years; and if he will make a statement.

None. Business rates reliefs for ratepayers are an integral part of the business rates system and we have no plans to amend them. Mandatory relief should be granted if a ratepayer meets the eligibility criteria.
