To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people returned to the UK under the European Arrest Warrant returned to (a) face prosecution and (b) served an existing sentence in each year since its inception; and if she will make a statement.

Due to the way that the data are recorded, it is not possible for these figures to be broken down by the number returned to face prosecution or to serve an existing sentence in each year without a manual examination of each individual case file. This would incur a disproportionate cost.
