To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change if he will estimate the number of jobs that would be created in the energy efficiency sector if all prisons were upgraded to an Energy Performance Certificate grade (a) A, (b) B and (c) C level.

We estimate that Government programmes to promote energy efficiency in homes, businesses and the public sector will support 65,000 insulation sector jobs in 2015. However, job creation figures specific to energy efficiency improvements in the prison sector are not available.
