To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what steps he plans to take at the Durban conference on climate change to secure global commitment to the Cancun summit aim of providing US $100 billion funding for climate change adaptation and mitigation in the developing world.

The UK has been working with EU member states and international partners at the Durban conference to make progress on long-term climate finance, to ensure that developed countries meet their commitment to mobilise $100 billion of public and private climate finance per year by 2020. Specifically, we aim to make progress on the recommendations of the Advisory Group on Climate Finance (AGF) and are looking to build on the work undertaken by the World Bank for G20 Finance Ministers.
