To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps he is taking to improve the performance of HM Revenue and Customs in dealing with post at the National Insurance Contributions and Employer Office within the target timescale of 80 per cent. being dealt with within 15 days.

HMRC National Insurance Contributions and Employer Office redeployed staff from other work to bring customer correspondence to under the 15 days target. Currently 88% of post is less than 15 days old.
