We are considering how transparency of out of court disposals could be improved in developing a clearer framework for their use. We will work with partners across the criminal justice system to widen access to information and education for the public and practitioners to increase the awareness and understanding of conditional cautions. This will help the public to have greater confidence that conditional cautions and other informal and formal disposals are being utilised effectively and appropriately.
