To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office when he proposes to start recruitment for the next Chair of the Charity Commission; what recruitment process will be followed; and if he will make a statement.

The current Chair of the Charity Commission's term of office is due to end in July 2012. The recruitment of a successor will begin in the new year. As a public appointment, the recruitment process will be conducted in line with the requirements of the Commissioner Public Appointments.
