To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what estimate he has made of the number of pensioners in Preston constituency living in fuel poverty.

Estimates for the numbers of pensioners in fuel poverty are not made on a sub-regional basis. The number of households in the Preston constituency in fuel poverty in 2009 was 9,500 (25% of households in the Preston constituency).

In England in 2009, 2,045,000 households containing someone aged 60 or over were in fuel poverty (27%).
