The Department is implementing some process changes to the Work programme in response to feedback received from organisations on the level of referrals from people in receipt of employment and support allowance (ESA). These changes aim to maximise the number of ESA claimants joining provision and are also in line with providers' requests to have more influence over their engagement with individuals.
