To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what reports he has received on the reports of (a) the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry and (b) Bahraini human rights groups on human rights violations in Bahrain; and if he will make a statement.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is studying the detail of both the Independent Commission's report and reports by human rights groups on the situation in Bahrain. I welcome the findings of the Commission, whose report seems credible and thorough and urge the Government of Bahrain to quickly implement its recommendations.
