I discussed the Green Deal specifically with Katherina Reiche, from the German Federal Environment Ministry (BMU) during my visit to Berlin earlier this year. Energy efficiency issues and the Green Investment Bank have come up in the course of my more general discussions with a range of EU counterparts. Officials have discussed the Green Deal and GIB with counterparts in several EU institutions and EU member states including the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland. Green Deal officials have also had discussions with the European Investment Bank over the last year.
