To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what his objectives are for business growth in the North East in the next five years.

The Government are committed to supporting sustainable growth and enterprise balanced across all regions and industries and promote green industries; there are no specific business growth objectives for the North East.

The North Eastern and Tees Valley local enterprise partnerships will set out their specific objectives for pursuing local growth in their areas.
