To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations she has received supporting a delay to the application of the Euro4 emission standards in the London low emission zones from January 2012.

The Department for Transport is aware of the strong views of some operators about the new phase of the London low emission zone; however, this scheme is the responsibility of the Mayor of London. Therefore applications to delay introduction of the standards should be made to the Mayor.
