To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what discussions he has had with external organisations on the implementation of the Prevent strategy in universities.

Ministers and officials in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills meet regularly with external organisations such as Universities UK, the National Union of Students, the police, local authorities and individual student societies to discuss matters relating to the implementation of the Prevent strategy and extremism on campus. We are working closely with Universities UK and the National Union of Students to help us implement the proposals set out in the Prevent strategy published earlier this year.
