To ask Her Majesty's Government how many local community relations and equality councils in receipt of funding by the Equality and Human Rights Commission are due to have that funding withdrawn; and which they are.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission's grant programmes are an operational matter for the commission. I have asked the chief executive to write to you regarding the information that you have requested.

In March, we announced in our consultation Building a fairer Britain: Reform of the Equality and Human Rights Commission that we would stop funding the commission to provide its grants programmes when they come to a natural end, in the light of the findings of the Government's review of the commission's provision of equality information, advice and support.
