To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what discussions she has had with representatives of (a) business and (b) aviation groups on aviation's role in supporting business.

The Secretary of State for Transport, my right hon. Friend Justine Greening, and I have engaged with business and aviation representatives on a range of aviation issues. The Government want to see a successful aviation sector which facilitates economic growth and addresses its environmental impacts. We are committed to issuing a Sustainable Framework for UK Aviation for public consultation in spring 2012.
