Official photographs were taken of Ministers during their first few days in office in May 2010. These are used for organisation charts, departmental publications and websites. Subsequently, official photographs were taken of Baroness Browning when she joined the ministerial team in May 2011. The images are available on flickr for use by the press and public.

In January 2011, official photographs were taken of the new Permanent Secretary.

Members of the communication team occasionally take photographs of Ministers or senior officials on visits, though this is not a formal part of their role.
