To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how much funding her Department has allocated to the Skills Action Plan for the food supply chain in each year of the comprehensive spending review period.

The Food Supply Chain Skills Action Plan was a collaborative effort involving Government, industry, the Institute of Grocery Distribution and a number of sector skills councils. While DEFRA facilitated it, and has one specific commitment to deliver, it does not fund the actions that the other participants have committed to.
