To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many immigration case files have been open for (a) one year, (b) two years, (c) three years, (d) four years and (e) five years.

The number of immigration case files that have been open for:

(a) Less than one year is 101,428

(b) Between one and two years is 6,327

(c) Between two and three years is 8,057

(d) Between three and four years is 6,422

(e) Between four and five years is 4,064

This includes all open asylum and temporary and permanent migration cases.
