To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many (a) people and (b) UK citizens were extradited from the UK to each EU member state under a European Arrest Warrant in 2010-11.

The information is as follows:

(a)In 2010-11 1,173 people were surrendered from the UK under an European Arrest Warrant (EAW). Of these, 48 were UK citizens. The following table breaks this down by member state.
