To ask Her Majesty's Government in what circumstances a pirate captured by a Royal Navy ship would be entitled to claim asylum in the United Kingdom; and whether there is an obligation on Her Majesty's Government to convey any such asylum seeker back to the United Kingdom at public expense.

The United Kingdom is under no obligation to accept asylum claims from individuals on board Royal Navy ships. Accordingly, there is no specific obligation to convey any such asylum seeker back to the United Kingdom.
