To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change pursuant to the written ministerial statement of 31 October 2011, Official Report, columns 26-7WS, on feed-in tariffs, what estimate he has made of the number of small and medium-sized enterprises installing solar PV who have been affected by the decision to reform the feed-in tariff.

The Department does not hold specific information on the number of small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) currently installing solar photovoltaics (PV). 3,237 companies have been certificated to install solar PV under the Microgeneration Certification scheme. Of these, 3057 companies have been certificated since the start of the feed-in tariffs scheme in April 2010. We expect that the majority of these companies are SMEs.
