Discussions between the Department for Transport and the Ministry of Defence are ongoing regarding a range of potential options to meet future requirements for helicopter search and rescue in the UK. I understand that the Secretary of State for Transport, my right hon. Friend Justine Greening, intends to make a statement on the matter before the end of the year.
