To ask Her Majesty's Government how many people are currently employed by the Ministry of Defence in Scotland.

As at 1 July 2011 there were 11,910 members of the Armed Forces and 5,434 civil servants employed by the Ministry of Defence in Scotland.

Defence Analytical Services and Advice (DASA) publishes a quarterly manning report on its website: www.dasa.mod.uk. This includes defence personnel by location.
