HM Treasury currently funds one helplineā€”the Equitable Life Payment Scheme helpline. This went live in June 2011, and as of 31 October had received 5,265 calls. The purpose of the line is to answer policyholder questions about the Equitable Life Payment Scheme. The running costs of the helpline are included in the broader operational delivery contract of the scheme, and are subject to commercial confidentiality.
