To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office how many applications from employees to run services for which his Department is directly responsible he has received since May 2010; and if he will make a statement.

The Cabinet Office is taking forward the Government's commitments to give public sector workers new rights to spin out to form new enterprises and continue to deliver public services, including through new mutuals and cooperatives. These rights will not be uniform across organisations.

Within the Cabinet Office the transformation of My Civil Service Pension is under way. The company has been created, and we are currently in the process of identifying a private sector partner for My Civil Service Pension. As this process is underway at the moment it would be inappropriate to make any further statement at this time.
