To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change pursuant to the answer of 25 October 2011, Official Report, columns 185-86W, on departmental procurement, how many of the contracts referred to were for consultancy services; and if he will make a statement.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change has advertised 40 contracts on the Contracts Finder website since May 2010. 12 of these contracts were for consultancy services.
