To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether draft regulations on the use of animals in scientific procedures transposing EU Directive 2010/63/EU into UK law will be open for public consultation during the process of implementation.

Preliminary work on the preparation of draft legislation to transpose European Directive 2010/63/EU has begun. We will seek input from individuals and groups with an interest at appropriate points in the detailed drafting process.
