To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what steps she plans to take to ensure that emergency towing vessels are available for spot-purchasing at the time of a reported emergency.

Because the Government consider ship salvage to be a commercial matter there are no plans to ensure the provision of emergency towing vessels for spot purchase.
