To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the impact of existing and planned legislation on the countryside amenities and the green belt areas surrounding the Blacon estate in Chester.

Planning policy on green belts is currently set out in Planning Policy Guidance 2: Green belts. The Government have consulted on the draft national planning policy framework which, when adopted, will replace all planning policy statements and guidance, apart from Planning Policy Statement 10, and will include the Government's policy on the green belt.
