To ask Her Majesty's Government what discussions they have had with Basildon Council about how many children and sick, disabled or elderly people were resident at Dale Farm; and what information they have about their whereabouts and conditions following their eviction.

The clearance of the unauthorised Traveller site at Dale Farm is a matter for Basildon Council. We understand that Basildon Council has been working with the relevant local agencies to ensure that the impact of eviction on vulnerable people and those with other specific needs is taken into account. This is in addition to the council's public commitment to honour its statutory homelessness duty to all those eligible to apply.
