To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much direct funding his Department provided to each civil society organisation it funded in (a) 2010-11 and (b) 2011-12; how much it expects to provide in (i) 2012-13, (ii) 2013-14 and (iii) 2014-15; and if he will make a statement.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) makes grants to project implementers and other organisations around the world to help deliver UK foreign policy objectives.

Budgets in the FCO are devolved to nearly 270 posts and details of these payments are not held centrally. As a result, this information could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
