To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what recent discussions he has had with small businesses concerning the possible effects of winter weather on those businesses.

I have not had any recent discussions with small businesses concerning the possible effects on winter weather. Government recognise the importance of businesses having the information they need to minimise the impact of winter weather on their operations. There are a wide range of guides and interactive tools available on the Business Link website to assist all businesses in developing business continuity plans and to manage risks to their business.
