To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what the cost to the public purse was of the construction of the interchange between the A55 and A5104 at Broughton (junction 36 of the A55).

The funding of repairs and improvements for trunk roads in Wales, such as the A55 and A5104, are the responsibility of the Welsh Government.

I understand, however, that the improvements cost the Welsh Government £3.6 million and consisted of the construction of an interchange and two roundabouts on the A5104.
