To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Earl Howe on 15 September (WA 87), whether other treatments, such as surgery, which are not classified as medicinal products, require individual informed consent from the recipient.

It is a general legal and ethical principle that valid consent must be obtained from an individual before starting a treatment or physical intervention such as surgery.
