To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what English language training her Department provides to successful applicants for asylum; what the budget for such training was in (a) 2009-10 and (b) 2010-11; and what the budget for such training will be in each financial year to 2014-15.

The Home Office does not provide English language training for refugees or hold a budget for such training.
Refugees are able to apply for ESOL classes subject to meeting certain eligibility criteria.
