To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many applications for widowed parent's allowance were rejected on the basis that the applicant lived with a deceased partner but was not married or in a civil partnership in the latest period for which figures are available.

The figures requested are not available, as there is no central record of bereavement benefit claims which have been disallowed.
