Work and Pensions written question – answered at on 12 October 2011.
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people living in residential care homes in each local authority claim the mobility component of disability living allowance.
Reliable estimates of total disability living allowance claimants in residential care homes are not available as we are unable to identify accurately disability living allowance claimants who meet the full cost of their residential care.
Estimates of the numbers of mobility component recipients in residential care homes, who are not fully self-funding, are not available other than on a Government Office region wide basis. The information is contained in the following table.
