To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many complaints the NHS received in relation to orthopaedic shoes in each of the last five years.
This information is not collected centrally. It is for local national health service organisations to determine how best to use their funds to meet national and local priorities for improving health and to commission services accordingly including the provision of orthopaedic footwear. They are free to determine their own criteria for the provision of orthopaedic footwear and should ensure the quality of services is appropriate.
