To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what estimate he has made of the number of people renting council accommodation in each of the last 30 years.
The following table includes the Department's published estimates in terms of numbers of households in local authority housing in England. The estimates are subject to a margin of error being based on sample surveys.
