To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many care home residents were funded by the relevant local authority in (a) Coventry and (b) England in the latest period for which figures are available.
Data on the number of adults (aged 18 and over) in receipt of local authority funded registered residential and nursing care is collected and published by the NHS Information Centre for health and social care. However, all local authority supported residents can be charged for their care, following a financial assessment by the local authority to decide what each resident can afford to pay towards the cost of their care.
