The Secretary of State for Transport, my right hon. Friend Mr Hammond, has had a number of telephone conversations with Scottish Transport Ministers. The Minister of State, Department for Transport, my right hon. Friend Mrs Villiers, met with the Scottish Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change, Stewart Stevenson MSP, on 4 November 2010 and met the Scottish Housing and Transport Minister Keith Brown MSP on 6 September. I met Stewart Stevenson MSP on 26 October 2010 in his office in Holyrood. I have had a number of telephone conversations with Scottish Transport Ministers.

Many DFT officials have regular contact with their counterparts in Transport Scotland and other branches of Scottish Government dealing with transport issues. Officials take every opportunity to ensure that relationships between the two Departments are developed and understanding shared.
